Jules O’Dwyer is Senior Lecturer in Film and Media at Anglia Ruskin University. He gained his PhD from the University of Cambridge in 2021, and subsequently held a Research Fellowship at St John’s College, followed by a Faculty teaching post in Film Studies & French. His research interests include French and Francophone cinema, queer studies, film theory, and spatial approaches to visual media and contemporary thought. He is the author of two books, The Seduction of Space (University of Minnesota Press, 2025) and Hotels (Fordham University Press, 2025), and his work has appeared in journals such as Screen, Discourse, Yale French Studies, and several edited collections. He is co-editor of world picture.
